We are looking at getting our T34 restored, but need quite a lot of repairs on the body.
I have heard the floor pan of a T34 is unique to that model. Is that correct or can a floor pan from another Type 3 be used?
Also I need inner sills, and a headlight socket, can these be used from other models?
If anyone has any body parts from a T34, can you get in touch.
We want to get this car back on the road, where it belongs.....................................
Any help at all would be appreciated.

Most of your issues/questions have been discussed (many times) before and are all archived on this site. If you use the "Search" button with "Floor Pan" you will get a dozen or so articles related to the subject.
The inner sills are unique to the T34.
The headlight socket (the electrical part that plugs into the bulbs) is a standard T1/T3 part.
The best advice for getting used T34 sheetmetal parts is to find & buy a parts car and cut the parts you need (or have your body shop do it).
Good luck!

thanks for the reply, thought this was the case!
btw, regarding the headlight socket, I meant the headlight bucket, the metal that holds the whole headlight. We have a complete car, with no missing bits at all, its just it needs the holes replacing!! I have thought of buying a "parts car", but am really reluctant to chop one up, but if it means we get ours back on the road, then we will.
Do you know how easy it is to get cars back from the states? costs, ease etc?
thanks again for your help.

There should be plenty of "T34 parts cars" in your area if you really focus on asking around. Visit VW shops, go to events, ask a lot of people, and there will be T34s showing up that need to be saved. The T34 headlight bowl is also unique but if you search on eBay Germany you'll find them for sale NOS. There are also plenty of parts cars within this group that have been (or are planned to be) cut up for parts. Hopefully someone will respond besides me. Importing a T34 from England & Australia were not a big deal, but the cost was US$1400-1600 if it's driven-on & driven-off. I don't know the cost of a "parts car" that will not move under it's own power.

i would try to get a parts car in more or less acceptable condition ....
have a look arround and look for a car that meets your searched parts in repairable

many T 34 part cars are sold in France and belgium even netherlands and of course in germany
but ... prices are crazy oftenly ....
donīt know about shipping costs from europe to north amercia but ... from la to netherlands it is
approx 1200 usd for a rolling car ...
good luck ...
