Hey guys, I'm more of a Type 1 dubber, just joined the forum so I could post this. Spotted this Type 34 last year at a junkyard, planning to visit there again soon. Don't get too excited, the car was really really rusty, and had been wrecked on the front right as you can see. Not knowing much about these cars, maybe you can tell me what parts to check for and/or pull off. We can work out a deal ahead of time if you want, or I can list whatever I find in the Samba classifieds.

Email is the best way to contact me, scott at sprocketstudio dot com.

WOW! Eek! That's one of the most destroyed T34s I've ever seen. It's a wonder anyone saved it & was convinced it was worth the space.
If you are planning to buy the whole T34 and bring it home to disassemble then there are undoubtedly plenty of decent parts to salvage.
If you are planning to pick parts off the hulk then you may find that rust will make disassembly near impossible.
If you took & can share more detailed photos (especially of the rear & interior/dash) it would give us all a much better idea of what may be worth saving.

Here's our email exchange from today:
Lee: Are there more pics?
Scott: That was the only pic I grabbed unfortunately. My recollection was that the car was pretty complete, but rough all over. If you're looking for something specific let me know, and I'll keep an eye out for it.
Lee: How far is the T34 from you?
Scott: It's about a three hour drive from me. This is an old junkyard just packed with cars. Mostly American iron, and pretty light on the VWs, the oldest I saw was about a '59. They were all in about the same condition as this t34, so unfortunately most of the cars at this place are only good for parts...and worse, they would be very difficult to remove. Too far off the road, too many trees and other cars. Could be done, but this type 34 is in a tricky spot. Since I only get down there a couple times per year, I figured to check the car out again and take better pics. But then any parts someone was interested in would have to wait until the following trip....
